The Wortwell 100 – 15th September 2013

This event will start at Wortwell Community Centre where refreshments will be served at registration, free parking. First riders away at 08.30, straight out into the beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk countryside. Although this area is not renowned for big climbs like the Yorkshire Dales, there are some nice hilly bits to keep your legs warm and the scenery is very easy on the eye.

The first Feed Station is at 33 Miles for both routes, at Westleton Village Hall, where hot drinks, water, energy supplements and bars, fruit and cakes will be available. Once you leave Westleton the routes split. The 54 Mile route, starts winding its way back towards Norfolk.
The One Hundred route, heads on towards the amazing coast at Thorpeness and Aldeburgh. Then on to Snape Maltings and Framlingham for the second Feed Station, at around 70 Miles. From here just 30 miles on towards home usually with a tail wind from here.
As we mentioned earlier not the hilliest of rides with just 2324ft of ascent, it’s a good route to get in a good quick time, as the season winds to a close.
So, it would be Wonderful to see you here for a Great days ride!
