All rides to start at Butter cross unless stated differently.
Sunday March 17th
Start 10am for coffee at Wortwell farm shop via Earsham Otter trust road to crossing with A143 ,Denton rd; old back through Harleston rd, St .Cross,St margaret S.Elmham,St Peter to Bungay.Approx; 12miles.
For riders that would like to go further, faster, (self led) Bungay, Denton,Alburgh, meet other slower group for coffee and return through St Cross to St Peter,St Margaret Ilketshall, St John ,Bungay

Saturday 7th April
Starting at 10.am .we will take a pretty (easy) ride to Beccles through Mettingham, Ellingham and Geldeston to have coffee at the Waveney House Hotel. Retrace to Bungay. 14mls.
Alternate faster/longer route.As above to Ellingham take second “L” after E.Mill ,first “R”to Kirby Cane ,cross A143 ,first “R” signed Stockton/Gillingham, “R” onto A143 (few yards) “L” onto cycle/footpath to take you over bridge crossing A146 ,Gillingham dam, Beccles. Back,Ringsfield, St Andrews,St John ,Bungay
Approx 17 miles.
Sunday April 28th
Start at 10am to ride to Bateman’s Barn St Cross for coffee Via ,St.. Peters and St Margarets South Elmham, back through Homersfield and Earsham.Approx 14miles.
Faster/further group.”L” after St Peter’s Hall, ST Michael,keep “L” at water tower

Leave at 10am to ride to Raveningham for coffee or lunch.Via Ditchingham,Pirnow Street ,Yarmouth rd Broome on to cycle path,Stockton, and Brundish. Back through Gillingham,Stockton,Kirby Cane and retrace to Pirnough,Bungay. Approx; 16 miles.
Faster/further group.Ditchingham,Thwaite,Mundham, Sisland to A146 cross with care.Loddon,Heckingham Raveningham.Back Thurlton, Haddiscoe “R” (short ride on A146) “L”Wheatacre,Aldeby, Waterloo to join A143. “R”to Stockton crossing stsgered crossing of A146 to kirby cane,Broome,Ditchingham , Bungay.

Leave at 11am to cycle to Harleston for lunch.Via Earsham, Alburgh, Back through Shotford,Withersdale Mendham Starston.Back through Shotford, Wortwell, Homersfield, Earsham .Approx; 18 miles.
Faster/longer.Earsham,Denton Alburgh, Pulham St mary (via Sweeting green) Starston Harleston.back -Withersdale sstreet ,Metfield, St James, St Margaret S>E> St Peter. Approx 26 miles
START OF NATIONAL BIKE WEEK Sunday June 16th
Start at 10.45am to ride to Rumburgh Buck for lunch, meeting up with groups from Beccles, Halesworth and Harleston.
Via Annis hill,Mettingham Castle, St Andrews Common, Becks Green, “R” toward main road, “L”on A 144 at Ilketshall St Lawrence,”R”to Alders Corner and on to Rumburgh..Back All Saints,St Michael St Peter, Bungay. Approx; 18miles.
Faster /longer.Same up to end of St andrews common.”L” to Ringsfield Corner, Redisham, Brampton, Mill on, “L” to Spexhall (take care as you cross A144 accident black spot).One mile first “R”,two miles “L” to Rumburgh.Back same as slow group Approx 25 miles.

10am to 12pm Bungay Library also 2 to 4pm.
Summer Solstice Friday June 21st.
6.30pm.ride to to meet other groups and have a drink or food at St Peter’s Brewery.
Lights essential ( any bicycle that is roadworthy) home in Bungay for 10pm. 11 miles.
Godric Way Ride Sunday July 14th.
This year incorporating a sponsored ride for Bungay Library.You do not need to be sponsored or pay unless you wish to do so.
This year the start (10am) and finish will be at Bungay Library where there will be refreshments at the finish.
Sunday 11th August
Leave at 11.15am to ride to The Huntsman and Hounds pub at Ilketshall St Lawrence for lunch.. Passing through St johns, St Andrews and Beck’s Green.Back through Aldous corner and Ilketshall st Margaret ,Bungay. 13 miles.
Sunday 15th September. Leave at 10.30am for a picnic at Loddon (or lunch at Rosie Lee’s café.) Ride through Ditchingham,Pirnhow
street,Yarmouth road Broome, Sun road and Loddon Ingloss. Back through Sisland (take a look at the tiny church) ,Mundham,Thwaite and Ditchingham.18miles.

Club run – Leaves the Bungay Buttercross 9:00am
Leisure Ride – Meet 10:00am Bungay Buttercross
A leisurely ride through the lanes to Beccles for coffee. Suitable for children (accompanied by adults). You need a road worthy bicycle and able to ride average speed 9-10 mph. Meet at the Bungay Buttercross. There is no charge.

There is a charge for this: £4 for adults, £2.50 for under 12s. The charge covers the walk and tea at St.Marys. Booking is required.
The above rides average a speed of 9/10 miles per hour.If only experienced riders turn up ,the average will go up to 10/11 m.p.h. the suggested longer faster rides are self led for most of the time and will average 12/13 m.p.h
All rides supported by Sustainable Bungay, Beccles and Bungay Cycle Strategy and The Godric Cycling club.
Some of the rides follow the new “Loop Maps” or cover part of the routes. These excellent maps are free from libraries and cafes in the area.
